For the first time since its establishment, Universitas Battuta has successfully sent a student team to the prestigious 38th National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) at Universitas Hasanuddin, Makassar. Showcasing a CRM innovation for UMKM Ladziidz Medan, this debut milestone in the PKM-PI scheme has successfully boosted the university's national reputation.

MEDAN – A proud and historic milestone has been achieved by the students of Universitas Battuta. For the first time in the university's history, a student team successfully advanced to the prestigious 38th National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS), held at Universitas Hasanuddin, Makassar, in late 2025.

This achievement is both remarkable and rare. As a relatively new university, last year marked the debut of Universitas Battuta's participation in the Student Creativity Program (PKM) organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. Remarkably, the team did not just secure grant funding, but immediately advanced to secure tickets as PIMNAS finalists—a milestone that many other institutions spend years striving to reach.

CRM Innovation for Local MSMEs

The team that brought honor to Universitas Battuta on the national stage competed under the PKM-Penerapan IPTEK (PKM-PI / Science and Technology Application) scheme. Under the guidance of their advisor, M. Rhifky Wayahdi, S.Kom., M.Kom., the team consisted of a brilliant collaboration of students across different study programs:

  • Fatahul Ahmad Dzikri (Informatics - Team Leader)
  • M. Ranu Al Habib (Information Systems - Member)
  • Yudhi Riswandi (Informatics - Member)
  • Novri Kurniawan (Informatics - Member)

They presented an innovative project titled "Pengembangan Sistem Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Terintegrasi dengan Digital Marketing untuk Meningkatkan Loyalitas Konsumen UMKM Ladziidz Medan" (Development of an Integrated CRM System with Digital Marketing to Enhance Consumer Loyalty for MSME Ladziidz Medan). This tech-driven solution was developed to assist local businesses in managing customer relations digitally, making interactions more modern, measurable, and effective to boost brand loyalty.

Invaluable Experience on the Highest National Stage

Although the team did not bring home a medal amidst the fierce competition in Makassar, achieving the status of PIMNAS Finalists is a highly prestigious accomplishment. Standing in the same presentation rooms alongside top-tier, legendary universities in Indonesia provided an invaluable atmosphere and experience.

For the Battuta team, the competitive environment at Universitas Hasanuddin offered a completely new perspective and euphoria. They had the opportunity to witness firsthand hundreds of the best innovative works from students across the country, exchange ideas, and build new networks of friendship with students from various Indonesian universities.

The success of Fatahul and his team is not only a matter of personal pride but also brings a massive institutional impact. This sweet beginning has successfully elevated Universitas Battuta's national ranking and reputation in terms of student achievements.
